Regular Meeting (11-19-2018)

Selectmen Present: Douglas Small, Joshua Delvin and John Luce 

Absent:  Suzan Rudnicki and Jared Fitts

Town Manager/CEO:           Kevin Howell

Guests Present:     Glennis McSorley, Toby Pelletier, Sheila Mahon and Deanna Witham

7:30PM:  Joshua Devlin called the meeting to order.

MINUTES:  John Luce made a motion to accept the minutes of November 5, 2018 as amended. Douglas Small seconded.  Three voted in favor.

 

TOWN MGR/TAX COLLECTOR/CODE ENF OFFICER/RD COMM. REPORT:

 

  1. Town Manager stated that next Monday night November 26, 2018 that there would be a public hearing for Clement’s Alternator and Starter LLC for a junkyard permit at 7:30 pm.

 

  1. Kevin stated that he placed notices around town, on Facebook and on the website about nomination papers for two Selectmen seats and one RSU 87 Director.  Papers would be available at the Town Office starting November 21, 2018.

 

  1. Kevin spoke briefly on the elections held on November 6, 2018. He stated that it was steady, a long day, everything went smoothly and the staff and election clerks did an amazing job.

 

  1. Kevin gave an update on GA. He said that only one family had come in last week for fuel assistance.

 

  1. Kevin let the Selectmen know that he had spoken to Mr. Patel about the Old Fire Station and they had come to an agreement for an easement to the building.  Kevin put the proposed agreement in the Selectmen books and said he thought the Town should pay all legal costs.  Kevin let the selectmen know he got an estimate for the improvements he would like to make to the Old Fire Station, new roof, siding, garage doors window, drainage etc.

 

  1. John Luce motioned to accept the agreement with Romi Patel.  Doug seconded,  Three in favor.

 

WARRANT: John Luce made a motion to accept the Payroll Warrant of November 13,2018 in the amount of $6,047.66 Doug Small seconded.  Three voted in favor.

WARRANT: John Luce made a motion to accept the Payroll Warrant of November 19,2018 in the amount of $4,676.47 Doug Small seconded.  Three voted in favor.

WARRANT: John Luce made a motion to accept the Accounts Payable Warrant of November 19, 2018 in the amount of $32,774.83 Doug Small seconded.  Three voted in favor.

 

ADJOURNMENT: John Luce made a motion to adjourn.  Doug Small seconded. Three voted in favor.  Meeting adjourned at 7:51pm.
