Regular Meeting (02-24-2017)

Selectmen Present:                Jared Fitts, Douglas Small and Suzan Rudnicki

Absent:                                   Earlyn Bowers and John Luce

Town Manager/CEO:           Kevin Howell

Recording Secretary:            Kimberly Davis

4:13PM:  Suzan Rudnicki called the meeting to order.          

 

NEW BUSINESS:

Kevin received a communication from MRC (Municipal Review Committee) stating that certain action needed to be taken to exercise a “put option” to sell the Town’s ownership interest back to PERC before Dec. 15th, 2017.  The approval to exercise this option must be authorized by a Town Meeting vote.  Kevin said if we didn’t add it to the upcoming town meeting warrant, we would have to have a special town meeting.  Perc & MRC are dissolving their relationship.  Both recommend exercising the “put option”.   Kevin presented an expanded warrant to include this additional article.   Kevin also let the Selectmen know that he amended the description of chapter in article 33 to better describe the chapter in reference.

 

Doug Small made a motion to approve the expanded town warrant, Jared seconded and three in favor.

 

Kevin also talked about Article 33 about Two acres to One and one half acre and 150 feet of frontage along the road.

 

WARRANT: Jared Fitts made a motion to accept the payroll warrant of February 13, 2017 in the amount of $4,221.93 Doug Small seconded. Three voted in favor.

WARRANT: Jared Fitts made a motion to accept the accounts payable warrant of February 15, 2017 in the amount of $21,560.57  Doug Small seconded. Three voted in favor.

WARRANT: Jared Fitts made a motion to accept the payroll warrant of  February 21,2017 in the amount of $4,004.34 Doug Small seconded. Three voted in favor

 

There was a discussion on property owned by Hermon on the Eastern most town line.

 

ADJOURNMENT:  Jared Fitts made a motion to adjourn.  Douglas Small seconded. Three voted in favor.  Meeting adjourned at 4:32 pm.
