7:30 PM: Public Hearing – Junkyard Permits: Suzan Rudnicki called the public hearing to
order for junkyard permit renewals and invited comments from the public. No

7:34 PM: Suzan Rudnicki called the Selectmen’s meeting to order.
MINUTES: Isaac Raymond made a motion to accept the minutes of October 25, 2021 as
- Douglas Small seconded. Three voted in favor. Jared Fitts abstained as he was not present for that meeting.
NEW BUSINESS:
Consideration of Junkyard Permit Renewals: Suzan Rudnicki made a motion to approve R&R Lumber Company’s junkyard renewal permit. Jared Fitts seconded. Four voted in favor.
Suzan Rudnicki made a motion to approve Ideal Recycling Inc.’s junkyard renewal permit. Jared Fitts seconded. Four voted in favor.
Suzan Rudnicki made a motion to approve Clement’s Starter & Alternator LLC’s junkyard renewal permit. Jared Fitts seconded. Four voted in favor.
Updates: The Town Manager let the Board know the November 2nd referendum went very smoothly, with steady activity all day and approximately eight hundred total votes.
Kevin said the annual Trunk Or Treat was a great success, with over forty trunks participating and over a thousand kids attending.
Kevin reminded Selectmen of the upcoming special town meeting on November 22nd at 7:00 pm at the Grange Hall and said he would leave it up to them as to whether they want to have their meeting at the Grange afterwards or back at the town office.
Doug Small asked how the crack sealing is coming along. There was discussion of the roads that have been done so far, and Kevin said they are continuing to work on it when it is not too cold.
WARRANT: Jared Fitts made a motion to accept the payroll warrant of November 1, 2021 in the amount of $6,292.17. Douglas Small seconded. Four voted in favor.
WARRANT: Jared Fitts made a motion to accept the payroll warrant of November 8, 2021 in the amount of $15,477.35. Douglas Small seconded. Four voted in favor.
WARRANT: Jared Fitts made a motion to accept the accounts payable warrant of November 8, 2021 in the amount of $244,361.63. Isaac Raymond seconded. Four voted in favor.
Possible Holiday Lights Parade: The Town Manager said that today he had put a post on Carmel’s facebook page to see if people would be interested in participating in a holiday lights parade in Carmel village, and there have already been many positive responses. Selectmen had no objection to Kevin organizing a parade if he can get enough participants.
ADJOURNMENT: Suzan Rudnicki made a motion to adjourn. Jared Fitts seconded. Four voted in favor. Meeting adjourned at 7:55 pm.
