7:30 PM: Suzan Rudnicki called the Selectmen’s meeting to order.
MINUTES: Jared Fitts made a motion to accept the minutes of August 16, 2021 as written
- Daniel Frye seconded. Four voted in favor. Suzan Rudnicki abstained as she was not present for that meeting.
OLD BUSINESS:
Potential Flea Market/Yard Sale: Kevin Howell said he stopped to see the owner of the property at 130 Hampden Road. No one is living in the trailer, and he has no intention of adding to more to the flea market items. He has also cleaned up parts of the yard.
NEW BUSINESS:
Touch-A-Truck: Kevin let the Board know Carmel’s first Touch-A-Truck was a big success and went very smoothly.
Old Fire Station: Kevin said the mason finished all the repair work to the walls of the old fire station. The floor drain has been connected to the catch basin and the final grading should be done this week.
Roadwork Update: The Town Manager stated reclaiming was started today on Horseback and Bemis Roads and should take two to three weeks to complete.
Planning Board Updates: Kevin let the Board know the special use permit application for a rock quarry has been withdrawn. The Planning Board has a meeting next week with a planning consultant to continue working on updating ordinances and begin drafting a rock quarry/gravel pit ordinance. They will start meeting more frequently to work on these items.
American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA): Kevin let the Board know we received half of the municipal stimulus from the ARPA.
Schedule GA Ordinance Public Hearing: Isaac Raymond made a motion to schedule a public
hearing for General Assistance Ordinance updates on September 27, 2021 at 7:30 pm. Daniel Frye seconded. Five voted in favor.
WARRANT: Isaac Raymond made a motion to accept the payroll warrant of August 23, 2021 in the amount of $6,599.03. Daniel Frye seconded. Five voted in favor.
WARRANT: Isaac Raymond made a motion to accept the payroll warrant of August 30, 2021 in the amount of 6,219.13. Daniel Frye seconded. Five voted in favor.
WARRANT: Isaac Raymond made a motion to accept the accounts payable warrant of August 30, 2021. in the amount of $38,732.69. Daniel Frye seconded. Five voted in favor.
WARRANT: Isaac Raymond made a motion to accept the payroll warrant of September 7, 2021 in the amount of $13,288.77. Daniel Frye seconded. Five voted in favor.
WARRANT: Isaac Raymond made a motion to accept the payroll warrant of September 13, 2021 in the amount of 6,210.79. Daniel Frye seconded. Five voted in favor.
WARRANT: Isaac Raymond made a motion to accept the accounts payable warrant of September 13, 2021. in the amount of $548,833.44. Daniel Frye seconded. Five voted in favor.
