Regular Meeting (02-22-2021)

7:30 PM:  Daniel Frye called the Selectmen’s meeting to order.

MINUTES:  Isaac made a motion to accept the minutes of February 8, 2021 as written Doug Small seconded.  Three voted in favor. Jared Fitts abstained as he was not at that meeting.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

Firehouse Subs Grant Award – Cardiac Monitor:  Town Manager Kevin Howell let the Board know the funds from the Firehouse Subs Grant to purchase a new cardiac monitor for the fire department have been transferred into our account. The cost is $31,576.00 and Kevin introduced Teddi Bates who is an Advanced EMT on the CFD as well as Northern Light. Teddi was there to answer any questions the Selectmen might have and why the CFD needed a new cardiac monitor. Isaac made a motion to purchase the new cardiac monitor. Doug Small seconded. Four voted in favor.

 

Municipal Quitclaim Deed- Map (Lot 39-1/ Richard & Loretta Grindal:  Town Manager Kevin Howell recommended signing a municipal quitclaim deed to sell back the property to Richard & Loretta Grindal. Isaac Raymond made a motion to sign the municipal quitclaim deed. Doug Small seconded. Four voted in favor.

 

Letter of Commendation – Bentley Goodwin: Kevin Howell presented the Board with a letter of commendation he prepared for Bentley and let the Selectmen know there would be a small presentation with the Sherriff’s Department to honor him on Thursday before Bentley’s birthday. The Selectmen all agreed and signed the prepared letter of commendation.

 

2021 Town Meeting: Town Manager let the Selectmen know he was prepared for the Town Meeting and if there was more then 50 people Nancy Dysart would be Deputy Monitor and they would have the overflow room available.

 

Residents Petition- Dog Park: Kevin Howell presented a petition that was signed by 20 residents a dog park at the recreation field. Doug Small asked if he could have a copy of the signatures. The board discussed who would maintain it and thought they should ask the recreation department to review and bring back a recommendation to the Board for consideration.

 

WARRANT:  Isaac Raymond made a motion to accept the payroll warrant of February 16, 2021 in the amount of $5,014.29.  Daniel Frye seconded. Four voted in favor.

WARRANT:  Isaac Raymond made a motion to accept the payroll warrant of February 22,  2021 in the amount of $4,975.02.  Daniel Frye seconded. Four voted in favor.

WARRANT:  Isaac Raymond made a motion to accept the accounts payable warrant of February 22, 2021 in the amount of $58,561.41.  Daniel Frye seconded.  Four voted in favor.

 

ADJOURNMENT:  Isaac Raymond made a motion to adjourn.  Dan Frye seconded.  Four voted in favor.  Meeting adjourned at 8:13 pm.
