7:30 PM: Suzan Rudnicki called the Selectmen’s meeting to order.
MINUTES: Daniel Frye made a motion to accept the minutes of November 22, 2021 as written Douglas Small seconded. Four voted in favor.
NEW BUSINESS:
Discussion of Potential Rezoning of Area Adjacent to Interstate 95 and Route 69
Intersection: The Town Manager proposed the possibility of rezoning the area near the intersection of Interstate 95 and Route 69 from residential to commercial/industrial. There was discussion regarding the potential benefits to the Town of Carmel including businesses that would provide more services to residents, enhanced value of properties and complying with our current comprehensive plan, which encourages commercial and industrial activities. Kevin told Selectmen if they had no objections, he would take it up with the Planning Board at their next meeting on December 6, 2021. Selectmen had no objections to pursuing the potential rezoning, beginning with taking it to the Planning Board for discussion.
Murray Road Internet: Kevin gave an update on the buildout of Spectrum Cable on Murray Road. They expect it to be completed by the second quarter of 2022.
WARRANT: Daniel Frye made a motion to accept the payroll warrant of November 29, 2021 in the amount of $6,268.57. Jared Fitts seconded. Four voted in favor.
WARRANT: Daniel Frye made a motion to accept the accounts payable warrant of November 29, 2021 in the amount of $211,494.22. Jared Fitts seconded. Four voted in favor.
