7:30 PM: Joe Pelletier called the meeting to order.
MINUTES: John Luce made a motion to accept the minutes of December 29, 2014 as written. Douglas Small seconded. Three voted in favor. Joe Pelletier abstained as he was not present for that meeting.
MINUTES: John Luce made a motion to accept the minutes of January 5, 2015 as written. Douglas Small seconded. Four voted in favor.
ROAD COMMISSIONER/TAX COLLECTOR/TOWN MANAGER REPORT:
- Town Manager Tom Richmond stated the water test for the new well was okay except for high iron, and the well was hooked up today.
- Tom said the auditor will begin the audit this week, and he is hoping to have the town report to the printer by February 1st.
NEW BUSINESS:
Town Meeting (budget & warrant): The Selectmen and Town Manager went over the 2015 town meeting warrant and made adjustments.
Old Fire Siren: Tom stated it has been suggested that we sand blast the old siren that was on the fire station roof and mount it behind the flagpole in front of the Town Office. as it is a piece of history.
Expanding Town Office Vault: Tom let the Board know someone from Plymouth Engineering was here to do an estimate on engineering costs for expanding the vault at the Town Office. We don't have the official estimate yet, but they guesstimated $10,000.
EXECUTIVE SESSION: Joe Pelletier made a motion to go into executive session pursuant to 22MRSA §4305(3B) to discuss general assistance. Earlyn Bowers seconded. Four voted in favor. Selectmen went into executive session at 7:56 pm. Selectmen reconvened in regular session at 8:05 pm. No action taken, informational only.
WARRANT: John Luce made a motion to accept the Full-time fireman’s payroll warrant of January 12, 2015 in the amount of $828.07. Earlyn Bowers seconded. Four voted in favor.
WARRANT: John Luce made a motion to accept the payroll warrant of January 12, 2015 in the amount of $3,738.14. Earlyn Bowers seconded. Four voted in favor.
WARRANT: John Luce made a motion to accept the accounts payable warrant of January 12, 2015 in the amount of $131,631.76 Earlyn Bowers seconded. Four voted in favor.
