Regular Meeting (01-28-2019)

Selectmen Present:                Douglas Small, John Luce and Joshua Devlin

Absent:                                   Suzan Rudnicki and Jared Fitts

Town Manager/CEO:           Kevin Howell

Guests Present:                      Deanna Witham, Toby Pelletier and Glennis McSorley

7:30 PM:  Joshua Devlin called the meeting to order.

MINUTES:  John Luce made a motion to accept the minutes of January 14, 2019 as written  Douglas Small seconded.  Three voted in favor.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

 

Quitclaim Deed for Compound Holdings LLC:  Kevin let the Board know Compound Holdings paid their taxes in full today, and asked Selectmen to consider signing a quitclaim deed for them.  Josh Devlin made a motion to sign the quitclaim deed for Compound Holdings LLC for Map 8 Lot 48-9.  John Luce seconded.  Three voted in favor.

 

2019 Town Meeting Warrant:  Kevin said the Planning Board still needs to give final approval on two articles, but the rest of the annual town warrant ready for Selectmen’s approval unless they would rather wait and vote on the entire warrant next week.  Selectmen decided to wait and vote on the entire warrant.

 

Annual Report Dedication:  There was discussion on dedication of the annual report.  Glennis McSorley suggested Bill Palmer.  After discussion, John Luce made a motion to dedicate this year’s report to Bill Palmer.  Josh Devlin seconded.  Three voted in favor.

 

Ice Skating Rink at Rec Field:  Kevin stated he researched having an ice-skating rink with our insurance company, Maine Municipal Association, and they do not have a problem with it.  Kevin asked if Selectmen would have any objections to Kevin setting up a rink, if weather cooperates.  Selectmen had no objections.

 

WARRANT:  John Luce made a motion to accept the payroll warrant of January 22, 2019 in the amount of $3,883.88.  Doug Small seconded.  Three voted in favor.

WARRANT:  John Luce made a motion to accept the payroll warrant of January 28, 2019 in the amount of $3,992.41.  Doug Small seconded.  Three voted in favor.

WARRANT:  John Luce made a motion to accept the accounts payable warrant of January 28, 2019 in the amount of $33,766.55.  Doug Small seconded.  Three voted in favor.

 

OTHER BUSINESS:  The Town Manager let Selectmen know that the auditors were here for three days last week to do field work, and it went well.

 

ADJOURNMENT:  Doug Small made a motion to adjourn.  John Luce seconded.  Three voted in favor.  Meeting adjourned at 7:46 pm.
