ROAD COMMISSIONER/TAX COLLECTOR/TOWN MANAGER REPORT:

  1. The Town Manager let the Board know the roads were un-posted today.
  2. Tom Richmond said he would like to postpone roadwork on Ash Hill and Cook Roads until July because they need to be milled.  Since the milling machine costs $800.00 each time it has to be moved in, it will save money if we don’t have to move it here more than once.
  3. There was discussion regarding work on Old State Road, and Tom stated he wanted to clarify the price quote from CPM Constructors for work on Old State Road; the $15,000.00 quote did not include gravel as Tom had first believed.
  4. Tom let the Board know that John Work of F.C. Work & Sons came out today and looked at the Cook Road.  Tom also said he would like to dig some test holes to check the thickness of the tar.

NEW BUSINESS:

Quitclaim Deed:  Doug Small made a motion to sign the quitclaim deed for Lucille Demmons for the Dorothy Harvey property at 9 Harvey Lane.  John Luce seconded.  Three voted in favor.

Road Program (2012):  The Selectmen and Town Manager went over the paving contract and specs and discussed suggested changes.

Question on Bids (Campground):  The gentleman from the Campground who asked to be on the agenda did not show up so it was decided to leave the two Campground buildings up for bid.

Cemetery Trees:  Glennis McSorley asked if the trees on the left just as you enter Highland Cemetery can be trimmed because they are so overgrown they scrape the cars.  Tom said when we have the inmates we will be doing brush cutting and will get those.
